SPANISH - FALL 1
6-week session
New enrollments are welcome. Consider enrolling in the self-paced Spanish Fundamentals series which examines alphabet, numbers, pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar concepts before attending the first class.
 

Level 1 classes (beginner): Entry level Spanish focused on a range of basic Spanish concepts including alphabet word pronunciation, numbers, days, months, seasons, colors, and more. Participants learn important grammatical concepts covering nouns, adjectives, pronouns, and present tense verb concepts. Classes include emphasis on conversational Spanish.
 

Level 2 classes (intermediate): Participants typically have completed level 1 classes and/or have sufficient understanding of basic Spanish grammar concepts including present tense verb conjugation. Intermediate Spanish examines verb past tenses, use of direct and indirect object pronouns, reflexive verbs, and gustar and verbs like gustar. Considerable emphasis placed on improving conversational skills.

Level 2.5 classes (transition): Class designed to transition participants from intermediate to advanced level. Class taught entirely in Spanish with emphasis on conversation and grammar. Objective is to build confidence and encourage participants to transition to the advanced level. 

Level 3 classes (advanced): Requires confidence in participating in classes where only Spanish is spoken. Emphasis is on refinement of conversational skills and review of various grammatical concepts.
